How this hell is no one talking about his accent changing here out of no where. That's a pretty big turning point in this movie. He's such an unreliable POV character that you can't even trust how he speaks. You have no idea whats real or not in this movie. I think after he killed the seagull is when everything really changes.

Nothing is as unsettling as hearing this in the end credits. No scary music, no silence. Just a sea shanty that is sung over no music. Somehow that makes the end credits more unsettling.

This was one of my favorite dialogues of this movie, I think of any movie from thus decade, I was getting a bit heated (turned) each time it got intense. I really enjoyed the cinematography, the script and conversations between 2 actors giving us what might be one in a lifetime performance... too bad that was wasted in a movie I didn't get... yet it could have been like Shutter Island kinda movie if they had explained something at the end but the ending itself got me even more confused. Movie~The~subtitle. I think only one keeper was farting - the other spilt his beans. Am I going insane like Pattinson or is that Paul Giamatti's head inside the fishing basket.

I don't even know what to write except I'm so happy I rented this for free from Redbox. Had I paid to sit in a theater I would never forgive myself. Those of you that gave it any more than 1 on you. No way you stayed awake through the whole movie. Playing on my phone occasionally was much more entertaining than this awful film. I feel like Rey and Ben being able to use plot-convenient healing and item teleporting could have been interesting if the caveat was that they could ONLY do it between each other. Build up some kind of mystical connection between them, have it pay off with them finally teaming up against Palpatine. gah. Aside from being the best movie ive seen in 2019 - this is the best trailer ive ever seen to represent any movie.

That's about 2 hours I won't get back. Someone in reviews compared this to Lynch but Lynch is clever and there's always a point to his madness. Just how did Dafoe say his lines with mouthfuls of soil, at that point he must have been thinking what am I doing here it's not worth the money. Anyway wtf this was I don't know. I love how both of these actors have impressively long monologues in this movie and at the end of either of their biggest monologues the other one is always like “lol okay”.
